Pioneering cybersecurity experts, ExactTrak and Redwing Networks, have joined forces to make reliable, easy-to-use, embassy-level security widely accessible. This partnership integrates ExactTrak’s hardware-based geofencing technology, SmartSafe, into Redwing Networks’ Red Ghost Suite, creating a cutting-edge solution that transforms any location into a secure, remote office.
The rise in state-sponsored cyberattacks, like the ransomware assault on Synnovis, which caused widespread disruption in NHS services, highlights the growing need for robust security solutions. This attack, which led to blood stock shortages, postponed surgeries, and cancelled appointments, demonstrates the far-reaching consequences of modern cyber threats.
ExactTrak and Redwing Networks aim to provide organisations across the public and private sectors with top-tier security solutions to ensure services can continue without the fear of outside interference. The Red Ghost Suite, combined with SmartSafe, offers a Secure Compartmentalised Information Facility (SCIF), enabling users to safely communicate and transmit data from anywhere in the world.
The Red Ghost Suite is NCSC, NSA, NIST and DISA compliant, and features CAPS or NSA Type 1 products. Designed on the principle that security is only as strong as the weakest link, often a remotely deployed device. Red Ghost addresses this vulnerability by providing rule-based access, ensuring that communications and encryption can only be initiated under the right conditions. SmartSafe reinforces this by verifying that the device is in the correct location and operating at the right time. If a device is misplaced or stolen, access can be denied, or even deleted, adding an extra layer of security.
“With geolocation and geofencing technology, ExactTrak takes the place of a physical security guard, but in the cyber world,” said Guy England, Commercial and Marketing Director at ExactTrak. “Adding our solution to Red Ghost’s Suite means users can transform any location into a remote office, with embassy-level security thanks to rule-based access, network bonding, secure tunnelling, encryption, and robust physical security. In today’s mobile world, security has to move with you, and the Ghost Suite does just that.”
The Ghost Suite integrates multiple technologies to provide secure, uninterrupted obfuscated bonded communications across a range of networks, including 3G/4G/5G, satellite comms, ethernet, wifi and LiFi. The suite can work with hardware-based cryptographic devices (CAPS or NSA Type 1) or software-based VPN solutions, making it adaptable to different user needs.
Lee Hannaford, Director of Creative Technology at Redwing Networks, commented: “We identified the need for a solution like the Ghost Suite over a decade ago while working with HisMajesty’s Government. By partnering with ExactTrak, we can now package all of the required technologies to deliver the security assurance our users need in the field.”
Through this partnership, Red Ghost is able to offer best-in-breed security technology, enabling organisations to operate securely from any location. In addition to the integration of ExactTrak’s SmartSafe, Red Ghost is further strengthened through collaborations with:
The Ghost Suite is compatible with Dell laptops and Android-based mobile devices, ensuring flexibility and ease of use for professionals working in remote or high-risk environments.
It’s the only embedded solution that provides security at device level and full integration with your existing security tools, to provide a multi-layered approach to cyber security.
